Agartala, January 19: The Tripura Power Transmission Limited (TPTL) marked its first foundation day with a voluntary blood donation camp as part of Prarambh 1.0, a series of events to commemorate the occasion on Friday.
The camp was held at the 79 Tilla office of the corporation and was attended by Mayor Dipak Majumder, Ramakrishna Mission’s Secretary Subhakarananda Maharaj, Additional Secretary Udayan Sinha, TSECL official SS Dogra, General Manager TPTL Ranjan Debbarman and others.
The Mayor praised the employees of the corporation for organizing the blood donation camp as a social program and fulfilling their professional duties. He said that the Chief Minister had appealed to everyone to donate blood when the state faced a blood crisis a few months ago.
He said that the demand for blood will be met as the people of the state and the workers of TSECL respond to the Chief Minister’s call. He said that blood donation is a great gift as there is no substitute for blood. He urged everyone to continue to donate blood in the future and uphold the values of humanity. He said that a total of 102 workers participated in the blood donation camp.
