Agartala, January 19: Agartala Municipal Corportion and Jal Board have decided to take some measures to address the drinking water shortage in some wards of the city. Mayor Dipak Majumdar announced this at a meeting held in the conference hall of Agartala Municipal Corportion on Friday.
He said that the meeting was a joint initiative of the two agencies to solve the water problems quickly and benefit the people of the city.
He said that there are one lakh 22 thousand 94 families living in Agartala city, and some of them have expressed their need for drinking water at various times.
He said that Municipal Corportion and Jal Board have taken steps to meet their water demand as per their request. He said that the officials and councilors of Agartala Municipal Corportion were present at the meeting and discussed the possible solutions for the water crisis.
