Tripura secures 3rd position at National Kala Utsav–2025

Agartala, 25th December 2025 :   Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today said that Tripura has once again brought laurels to the State by securing the 3rd position at the national level Kala Utsav–2025 held at the Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA), Pune, from December 20 to 24.

The Chief Minister said the honour was earned through a captivating Hojagiri folk dance performance by *Shilpa Reang, Sanita Reang, Siluta Reang, and Parmaiti Reang, students of Chandrapur Higher Secondary School under **Gomati District. Their exceptional artistry, balance, rhythm, and grace impressed the judges and secured National Third Rank in the prestigious cultural competition.

Congratulating the students, their teachers, and guardians, Prof. (Dr.) Saha said the achievement has made the entire State proud and has once again highlighted Tripura’s rich and vibrant cultural heritage at the national stage.

He added that Hojagiri, a traditional dance of the Reang community, reflects the deep-rooted cultural identity of Tripura and its successful presentation on a national platform is a matter of great pride.

The Chief Minister also encouraged young artists of the State to continue nurturing traditional art forms and assured continued support from the State Government for the promotion of culture, talent, and heritage.
