A large number of family members were present at the airport to see off the pilgrims, many of whom are travelling for Hajj for the first time. The atmosphere was filled with prayers, blessings, and heartfelt goodbyes.
Shah Alam, Chairman of the Tripura Hajj Committee, said that the 74 pilgrims from different parts of the state will first travel to Kolkata before continuing their journey to Saudi Arabia. He acknowledged the crucial support provided by the Central Hajj Committee in completing all formalities, including passports and visa arrangements.
He also emphasized that Hajj is a powerful expression of unity, as it brings together Muslims from various countries and languages, strengthening global brotherhood and spiritual harmony.
According to him, although the main Hajj rituals are completed in about five days, the entire pilgrimage process, including travel and stay, generally takes nearly a month.
