Agartala, 11th June 2024: Tripura State Women’s Commission organized a prestigious award ceremony on Tuesday to honor and felicitate the talented women of the state. The event was graced by prominent personalities, including Padma Shri Awardees Rekha Chakma and gymnast Deepa Karmakar, along with the State Women’s Commission Chairperson Jharna Debvarma and other dignitaries.
The ceremony commenced auspiciously with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the distinguished guests, setting a celebratory tone for the evening. Chairperson Jharna Debbarma emphasized the importance of the event in her address, highlighting its purpose to recognize and encourage the outstanding achievements of women in Tripura.
In her speech, Debbarma conveyed a powerful message to the young girls of the state, urging them to aspire and work towards bringing pride to both Tripura and India. She stressed that society holds great expectations from them to continue excelling and contributing positively in various fields.
