Agartala, 31st August 2025 : Tripura University proudly inaugurated the Cascading Training Workshop under the mission Rashtriya Karmayogi Large-Scale Jan Seva Programme, organizing for the faculty members, officers, and Non-teaching Staff members of the university. The training workshop aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and fostering a culture of continuous learning & development, focusing on more students and citizen-centric services under the Government of India’s IGOT Karmayogi mission.
The workshop was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor (I/C), Prof. Shyamal Das, who emphasised the importance of upskilling and capacity-building among university staff to meet the dynamic demands of the higher education sector. In his address, Prof. Das highlighted how initiatives like iGOT Karmayogi serve as transformative platforms to align institutional performance with national goals.
The inaugural session was graced by Dr. Deepak Sharma, Registrar, Tripura University. He emphasised the role of every employee of the university to align with the nation’s goals to see the nation as Vikishit Bharat 2047. Dr Deepak Sharma reiterated the University’s commitment to institutional excellence through human resource development and the need to change the mindset from rule-based to role-based and citizen-first.
The training sessions are being conducted by the UGC provided Master Trainer Dr. Swapan Kumar Biswas, Dr. Pankaj Singh and Surendra Kumar Pal, Master Trainer & Nodal Officer, iGOT Karmayogi, Tripura University. The team of trainers will guide the participants through a series of modules designed to build competencies, promote a learner-centric approach, and encourage the adoption of digital tools and innovative practices to rediscover ourselves as Rashtriya Karmayogi. The training workshops are arranged in batches and will continue up to 11th September 2025 on the university campus.
