Tripura Web Media Forum delegation meets CM, submits key proposals

Agartala, 24th June 2025:   A delegation from the Tripura Web Media Forum held a courtesy meeting with the Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha today to discuss several pressing concerns affecting digital media in the state.

During the meeting, the Forum submitted three official demand certificates to the Chief Minister. General Secretary Abhishek Dey outlined a series of proposals, which included a revision of advertisement rates for web-based platforms, the organization of skill-enhancing workshops, and the inclusion of forum representatives in government committees associated with the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs.

In response, Chief Minister Dr. Saha acknowledged the relevance of the demands and expressed optimism regarding their consideration. He assured the delegation that appropriate steps would be taken to address their concerns.

The Forum also presented a memento to the Chief Minister as a token of appreciation during the interaction. Members Hirak Gupta, Bapi Roy and Dipjit Acharya were among those present at the meeting.

General Secretary Abhishek Dey conveyed the developments through an official press communiqué issued later in the day.
