Agartala, 9th March 2025:   Tripura has witnessed unprecedented development under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claimed Member of Parliament Biplab Kumar Deb while addressing a public meeting today.

He asserted that the state’s progress was stunted under the previous communist rule but has flourished under BJP governance and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Highlighting the remarkable achievements, Deb pointed out that while the previous government provided 48,000 houses, the current BJP-led administration has successfully delivered around 4,70,000 houses. He further emphasized that Tripura’s national road network has seen substantial improvements with projects worth Rs 22,000 crore, a stark contrast to the inadequate infrastructure of the past.

“Farmers’ incomes have significantly increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 13,000 per capita,” Deb stated, underlining the state’s progress in the agricultural sector. He also mentioned the enhanced rail connectivity and large-scale housing and road development projects, which have transformed the state’s infrastructure.

Deb further announced that under Chief Minister Manik Saha’s leadership, Rs 27,000 crore has been allocated for various development projects, playing a crucial role in advancing Tripura’s growth trajectory. He criticized the previous government for failing to meet people’s expectations, asserting that the BJP administration has ushered in a “golden age” for the state.

Addressing the tribal issues, Deb accused the Communist Party of exploiting Tripura’s tribal communities. He claimed that protests and extremism have significantly reduced after tribal groups joined the BJP government. “Earlier, tribal extremists took up arms to demand their rights. Now, they have surrendered and are peacefully enjoying the benefits provided by the BJP government,” he remarked.

The MP also highlighted multiple tribal development initiatives undertaken by the BJP government, ensuring that the tribal population receives adequate support and facilities to improve their standard of living.

Biplab Kumar Deb reiterated that the BJP remains committed to Tripura’s holistic development and is working tirelessly to fulfill the aspirations of its people.
