Agartala: November 06: Debadrita Datta, an actress from Tripura, has made her entry into the world of cinema with a short film titled ‘Hemlock’. The film was released on the OTT platform in Mumbai on October 18 and has received positive reviews from the viewers. The film is directed by Saif Baidya, who has also made a feature film ‘Noise of Silence’ in 2022.
Debadrita Datta is the daughter of Akhil Datta, an engineer, and Soma Dutta, who live in Kamalpur, Dhalai district, Tripura. She has been passionate about singing and dancing since her childhood and has participated in various cultural events. She has also done modelling and theatre before venturing into films.
‘Hemlock’ is a 39-minute short film that deals with the issue of mental health and its impact on the lives of the people. Debadrita Datta plays the role of a young woman who suffers from depression and anxiety and tries to cope with her situation. The film portrays her struggles and challenges in a realistic and sensitive manner.
Debadrita Dutta addressed a press conference at Agartala Press Club today and shared various information about the film. She said that she was happy and proud to be a part of the film and thanked the director and the crew for their support and guidance. She also appealed to the people of the state to watch the film and appreciate her work.
