Agartala, December 29, 2022: Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) organized a one day Job Mela on Wednesday last for the rural youths of Tripura trained under Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), a programme uniquely focused on rural youth aged between 15 to 35 years especially from poor families.
The program was inaugurated by Prasada Rao Vaddarapu, IFS, Chief Executive Officer of TRLM, T. K Chakma, IAS and Additional District Magistrate & Collector of the West Tripura District, Shutirtha Paul, Joint Director of Directorate of Skill Development and Dr Sankharaj Roy, Chief Operating Officer (Skills & Placement) TRLM at Town Hall here.
So far till December, 10,451 numbers of youths have been trained under different trades from rural area of Tripura and 4,297 numbers of trained candidates have been placed in organized private sectors located inside and outside the state of Tripura.
TRLM has conducted Job Mela on Wednesday last at 11 AM in Town Hall, Agartala. The theme of the programme is conducting job interview only for DDU-GKY trained candidates and providing placement to candidates in private sectors. In this event 8 employers (5 from other states and 3 from Tripura) have participated and conducted interview for 217 DDU-GKY trained candidates. In total, 120 DDU-GKY trained candidates have been given placement in different sectors like Logistics, Food & Beverages, Un-armed Security Guard, Sewing Machine Operator, Retail Sales associate etc. In total 45 candidate have been placed in Tripura and 75 candidate have been placed in other states of India like Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai.
