Agartala, 9th May 2025: A collision between a 10-wheeler truck and a private car created a stir on Friday morning in the Surjya Chowmuhani area of the capital city.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident took place in the early hours when a private vehicle bearing registration number TR01B-0548 rear-ended a truck with registration number TR03L-1733. The impact left the car visibly damaged, but fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported at the scene.
Eyewitnesses further stated that the driver of the private car fled immediately after the crash, abandoning the vehicle on the spot. Local residents and early-morning pedestrians, alarmed by the collision, promptly contacted the Fire and Emergency Service Station to alert the authorities.
By the time officials reached the scene, the truck and damaged car remained in place while an investigation was initiated to trace the absconding driver.
