The West district police had allegedly fired bullets over the TSF agitators who were protesting in Dasharam Para village in Madhav Bari of in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).

“Even though we had the permission for the peaceful protest but the police resorted to open firing which resulted in five agitator’s injury. Even the ambulance which was taking the injured persons to GBP hospital in Agartala was vandalized and they were thrashed out of the vehicle by the police”, alleged the agitators. “The previous governments without passing any law and act had helped many foreigners to settle them in Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya and in other states of India. Now, the Modi government has passed this CAA forcefully to give citizenship to the illegal immigrants. I would like to say that this CAA is very draconian and it is quite detrimental through the overall interest of the indigenous. We will become like ashes if CAA is implemented here. This is an atom bomb just to destroy us,” he said.
