TTAADC recruitment exam postponed amid answer key leak scandal: CEO CK Jamatia

By TC News Desk

Agartala, 8th June 2024:   The much-anticipated recruitment examination for 110 posts under the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) has been abruptly postponed due to an answer key leak. The examination which was set to take place across 71 venues in the state on Sunday has left nearly 26,000 job aspirants in limbo.

The TTAADC administration had previously issued a notification inviting applications for the vacancies, prompting candidates to invest their hard-earned money and hopes into the opportunity. As the examination date approached, aspirants were making their final preparations when the news of the leaked answer key surfaced, causing a major setback.

Addressing a press conference at Agartala Press Club on Saturday evening, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) CK Jamatia said “The examination was meticulously scheduled from 12:30 to 2:30 PM this Sunday. Our candidates were ready, but the integrity of the examination process has been compromised,” stated Jamatia. He further announced, “In light of the leak, we have decided to postpone the examination. A new date will be communicated within the next 10 days.”

The administration has vowed to take stringent legal actions against those responsible for the leak. “We will not only initiate legal proceedings but also ensure administrative measures against the culprits,” Jamatia affirmed. A case is set to be filed at the West Agartala police station as part of the crackdown.

To ensure transparency in the recruitment process, a special board has been constituted. “This board oversees the entire recruitment process and is responsible for creating the answer key from the exam question paper,” explained Jamatia. However, the incident has raised public concerns regarding the role and transparency of the TTAADC administration.

The postponement has cast a shadow over the aspirations of thousands of candidates who have been preparing for this opportunity. The TTAADC administration is now under scrutiny as it navigates through the repercussions of this unforeseen predicament.
