Agartala, 27th July 2026 : On the holy Monday of Shravan, Nutanbazar in Gomati district witnessed two separate Shiva Snan Yatras marked by devotion and festivity. From early morning, large crowds of devotees thronged the area, chanting “Bol Bam” and “Har Har Mahadev.”
The first procession began at 5 a.m. from Madan Mohan Ashram, with devotees marching through Nutanbazar and Jatanbari before reaching the Shiva temple at Tirthamukh to offer sacred water. The second yatra started from Mahakal Temple, where participants collected holy water from Dashami Ghat and carried it through the town, culminating in special worship at Sadhu’s Ashram in Arvind Colony. Over a hundred devotees joined, followed by distribution of annabhog.
Men, women, and youth participated enthusiastically, creating a vibrant spiritual atmosphere. Locals noted that, as in previous years, the twin yatras enriched Nutanbazar’s tradition of religious harmony and cultural heritage.
