Twin shop burglaries spark alarm at Gandacherra

Agartala, 24th April 2026:   Two daring burglaries in a single night have unsettled residents of Gandacherra Hospital Chowmuhani area. The thefts targeted two small shops, leaving the local community alarmed.

According to reports, two small business owners closed and locked their shops as usual last night. However, when they returned this morning, they found broken locks and looted goods. The stolen items included cold drinks and other merchandise.

Police were promptly informed and visited the scene to conduct an inspection. An investigation has been launched to identify the culprits and recover the stolen goods.

The affected shopkeepers expressed deep concern, noting that their families rely entirely on the modest income from these shops. The sudden theft has caused them significant financial distress.

Residents have voiced strong demands for swift administrative action to prevent such incidents in the future. The burglaries have sparked widespread discussion and heightened anxiety across the locality.
