Two-day CPI(M) state committee meeting begins at Agartala

Agartala, 18th  June 2026: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) held a two day state committee meeting at the Dasharath Deb Smriti Bhavan on Thursday, with senior leaders deliberating on organizational strategies and electoral preparedness.

CPI(M) General Secretary M.A. Baby briefly addressed the media, noting that detailed proceedings would be shared later by the State Secretary and urging support for the Andari Morcha in Tripura.

Leader of the Opposition Jitendra Chaudhury said the committee routinely reviews international, national, and state issues to frame organizational steps for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Panchayat elections.

The meeting was attended by Md. Salim, Sridip Bhattacharya, Manik Sarkar, and other senior comrades, underscoring the party’s focus on strengthening its base in Tripura.
