Agartala, 13th February 2026: On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, a two-day evening yajna and chanting of the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra will be held on February 15 and 16 at the Narmadeshwar Shivalinga and Bir Hanuman Temple in Kalikamura, Mohanpur constituency.
Speaking to the media personnel, Subrata Sarkar, a devotee of Hanuman and founder of the temple, shared details of the upcoming program. Sarkar established the temple on his own initiative and donated the land for its construction. He continues to perform daily worship and has appealed for community support to expand the temple’s reach and prominence.
Sarkar emphasized that his efforts are dedicated to the spiritual interests of the local Sanatani community. He expressed hope that with collective cooperation, the temple will grow into a larger center of devotion where people can offer prayers and strengthen their faith. Local residents have welcomed his initiative, praising his dedication and contribution. Sarkar has extended an open invitation to all devotees to join the Maha Shivratri celebrations in the serene natural surroundings of Kalikamura’s Amgachia Purvapara
