Two PHCs of NorthTripura Receive National Quality Assurance Certification

Agartala, 11th December 2024:   The Union Health Ministry has awarded the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification to the Jampui and Bungnung Primary Health Centres in North District in the financial year 2024-2025.

As per report this recognition comes in light of their exemplary performance in providing high-quality healthcare services.

Jampui Primary Health Centre, established in 1990, and Bungnung Primary Health Centre, set up in 1996, underwent rigorous assessment by a Union Health Ministry inspection team.

Both centres achieved the required standards, scoring over 70% in the final assessment. The certification acknowledges their commitment to maintaining healthcare quality and delivering services that meet national benchmarks.

Dr. Guddu Debbarma, Medical Officer-in-Charge of Jampui PHC, and Dr. Arnab Das, Medical Officer-in-Charge of Bungnung PHC, played pivotal roles in leading their teams to this achievement.

The medical officers expressed gratitude to all healthcare workers at their respective centres for their dedication and efforts in ensuring the facilities meet NQAS criteria.

A press release from the Department of Family Welfare and Prevention lauded the health centres for this milestone and emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of healthcare services across the region.
