Agartala, 6th December 2025: Two young men sustained gunshot injuries after allegedly being fired upon by Border Security Force (BSF) personnel while attempting to cross the India–Bangladesh border near Boxnagar Putia. The incident took place on Saturday morning.
The injured youths, identified as Saddam Hossain and Sonu Miah, were initially rushed to Bishalgarh Hospital. However, due to the severity of their injuries, they were quickly referred to GB Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
According to preliminary information, the firing occurred when the two attempted to cross the border despite heightened BSF vigilance in the area. No official statement has yet been issued by either the local administration or BSF regarding the incident.
