Agartala, 23rd February 2026:    Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers presented ‘Sricharaneshu Ma’, a special tribute to motherhood, at Sandhyaneer today.

The initiative is dedicated to women who embody the true spirit of motherhood and seeks to move beyond symbolic gestures of respect to meaningful acts of care and recognition. This year’s edition was organised at Sandhyaneer, a home for elderly mothers who have no one to look after them.

The programme celebrated these women in the evening of their lives with warmth, affection and festive cheer. Gifts were distributed and moments of joy were shared in keeping with the spirit of the New Year 2026. As part of the initiative, the Directors of Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers handed over a cheque of Rs 1.20 lakh for the welfare of the residents.

The happiness on the faces of the elderly mothers reflected the emotional significance of the occasion.

Arpita Saha, Director of the company, said the organisation has always extended its pursuit of excellence beyond its jewellery showrooms by responding to social needs whenever required. She added that hosting ‘Sricharaneshu Ma’ at Sandhyaneer brought immense joy, as it provided an opportunity to celebrate motherhood and bring smiles to the faces of elderly women.

Rishiroop Saha, Director of the company, emphasised that caring for mothers, especially when they are unable to fend for themselves, is a responsibility of every son and daughter. He said the initiative is a step towards inspiring a broader social movement to ensure dignity and happiness for abandoned mothers.

The programme concluded with a sit-in lunch and ended on a sweet note, leaving behind cherished memories for all present.
