Agartala, 16th July 2025:  The Unakoti district administration marked a historic moment today with the launch of ‘Sampark’, a pioneering and people-centric initiative aimed at strengthening ties between government departments and local people. The program was formally inaugurated at the Circuit House in Kailashahar under the banner “Gaon Ko Apnao, Badlaav Lao” (Adopt the Village, Bring Change).

Under this ambitious scheme, officers from various government departments will voluntarily adopt 92 Gram Panchayats and ADC villages across the district. By visiting these villages, they aim to engage directly with residents, listen to local grievances, and report them to the administration for resolution.

District Magistrate Dr. Tamal Majumdar led the ceremonial launch, joined by Sabhadipati Chapala Debroy, Saha-Sabhadipati Santosh Dhar, Superintendent of Police Subhambika R. and other senior officials.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Majumdar emphasized that Sampark would reduce the gap between the administration and the public, paving the way for inclusive development. He further noted that monthly action plan reviews and quarterly evaluation meetings would track the program’s progress.

Describing the initiative as more than a policy intervention, local stakeholders see ‘Sampark’ as a sincere effort in administrative empathy and social solidarity.
