Agartala, 2nd July 2026: The District Administration of West Tripura successfully organized the District-Level Jan Sammelan-cum-Launching Event of the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G) today at Nazrul Kalakshetra, Agartala.
The programme was graced by Tinku Roy, Minister for Social Welfare & Social Education and other departments, as the Chief Guest. The event was held in the virtual presence of Union Minister for Rural Development and Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and attended by distinguished dignitaries, officials, public representatives, Self Help Group members, and beneficiaries.
This initiative marks a significant step towards ensuring employment, self-reliance, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for every individual in rural areas. It is aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India), guided by the motto: Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.
Similar district-level launch events were held across Tripura: In Ambassa, Dhalai district, the programme was inaugurated at the Town Hall by Sushmita Das, Sabhadhipati of Dhalai Zilla Parishad, with the presence of MLA Chitta Ranjan Debbarma and senior officials. In Panisagar, North Tripura, the district administration jointly organized the inaugural ceremony, outlining the scheme’s objectives to modernize and strengthen rural employment systems. In Khowai district, Chief Whip Kalyani Roy participated in the Jan Sammelan and launch event, also attended virtually by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The VB-G RAM G programme is expected to open new horizons for rural development, livelihood generation, and inclusive growth, reaffirming the commitment to building an empowered, self-reliant, and prosperous Tripura.
