Agartala, 4th May 2025:  The Vedic Brahmin Society, which was established in 2014 officially, inaugurated its new office building adjacent to the Skylark Club, Krishnanagar today through a traditional Narayan Puja ceremony. Over the years, the society has hosted conferences at various locations, including parks and schools, engaging in diverse activities before finally settling at its new premises.

The inaugural event was attended by General Secretary Chandan Chakraborty, President Jibankrishna Bhattacharya, Chairman Kalyan Narayan Bhattacharya, Founder Pandit Bhaskar Chakraborty and other members. During the program, speakers emphasized the society’s primary mission of establishing a strong Brahmin community.

One of the significant topics discussed at the event was the prevalent confusion surrounding Shraddha worship. Speakers clarified that Shraddha is not merely an act of respect but a profound spiritual ritual involving the Supreme Soul. They highlighted its role in seeking the Satgati (liberation) of the departed soul and urged Brahmins to take an active role in dispelling misconceptions about the practice.

Furthermore, discussions at the event stressed the importance of priests explaining the purpose of rituals and the meanings behind mantras during ceremonies. These insights, delivered by the speakers, aimed to deepen public understanding of traditional practices and spiritual philosophy.
