Agartala, 13th October 2023: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar lauded former Tripura Chief Minister and incumbent Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb for his service and dedication to the farmers of the country. He made the remarks at the Farmers’ Banquet at the New Parliament Building on Friday, where he was the chief guest.
Dhankar said that Biplab Kumar Deb’s true identity is that of a true servant of farmers, who has always raised his voice for their welfare and interest. He said that Biplab Kumar Deb has spoken for the food donors in Rajya Sabha, representing about 50 percent of the farmers in India. He said that Biplab Kumar Deb’s achievements as the former Chief Minister or MP of Tripura are secondary to his role as a farmer’s friend.
He expressed hope that Biplab Kumar Deb will continue to work for the welfare of farmers in this age and in the coming days. He said that the appreciation of Biplab Kumar Deb by one of the highest offices like Vice President is a testament to his popularity and work ethic. He also thanked him for hosting the banquet and inviting the farmers. After the event, all the guests and invited farmers had lunch.
