Voluntary Health Association of Tripura holds workshop on social security at South Ghilatali

Agartala, 21st March 2025 :   The Voluntary Health Association of Tripura (VHAT), a leading social organization in the state continues its steadfast efforts to support communities across Tripura through various initiatives. For over a year, the organization has been implementing diverse programs in collaboration with NABARD in the Khowai district’s Kalyanpur Block, aiming to improve livelihoods and socio-economic conditions.

As part of these efforts, VHAT organized a special workshop on social security schemes today at the Watilong Para Lower Primary School under the South Ghilatali Gram Panchayat. The workshop attracted around 100 men and women from the area, providing information on schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. Additionally, participants were guided on opening new bank accounts and raising awareness about banking services.

Representatives from the State Bank of India, Tripura Gramin Bank and UCO Bank joined the event alongside VHAT officials, adding value to the initiative. The program has generated a highly positive response in the local community, reflecting its success in raising awareness and fostering social welfare.
