Agartala, 21st April 2026: Once again, West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar has stepped forward in a humanitarian role, offering vital assistance to a struggling family in Kanchanmala’s Ward No. 3.
Local sources report that Parash Biswas, the sole breadwinner of his household, passed away a year back. Since his death, his elderly mother, ailing wife Monika Biswas, and two young daughters have been left in severe financial distress. With the grandmother unable to work due to old age and Monika’s illness preventing her from taking domestic jobs, the family has been struggling even to afford daily meals, let alone the children’s education expenses.
The family’s plight had been highlighted several times in the media. Acting on information, Dr. Kumar visited their residence this afternoon. He spent considerable time speaking with the mother, wife, and daughters, listening to their hardships. During the visit, he personally handed over school uniforms, books, and notebooks to the two girls.
The family openly shared their difficulties with the District Magistrate, who assured them of comprehensive government support to ease their financial and social burdens. His presence brought a sense of relief, allowing the bereaved family to express their concerns without hesitation.
This gesture has drawn praise in the locality, reinforcing Dr. Kumar’s reputation for compassionate governance and responsiveness to citizens in need.
