Agartala, 12th January 2026: The Women’s College NSS Unit organized a vibrant celebration of National Youth Day on January 12 within the college premises.
The program was presided over by the Principal, Prof. Sharbari Nath, who graced the chair as the chief guest. She was accompanied by Dr. Nibedita Dhar, Secretary of the Teachers’ Council, and Dr. Ratnabali Ray Sengupta, who delivered the keynote address.
In her speech, Dr. Sengupta highlighted various aspects of Swami Vivekananda’s life and philosophy, emphasizing the timeless relevance of his teachings in today’s society. She urged the youth to draw inspiration from Vivekananda’s ideals and cultivate humanistic values. Echoing this sentiment, Dr. Dhar expressed hope that young people would embody compassion and moral strength through his vision.
Principal Nath called upon the students to remain respectful and devoted to the ideology of Swami Vivekananda, underscoring its importance in shaping character and purpose.
The event also featured a cultural program, which was warmly appreciated by all present. The entire celebration was coordinated under the guidance of NSS Program Officer Rama Bhattacharya, ensuring its smooth execution.
