Women’s College NSS Unit observes statehood day with dignity

Agartala, 21st January 2026:   The Women’s College NSS Unit today observed Statehood Day with due solemnity and respect.

The program was presided over by the esteemed Principal of the college, Dr. Sharbari Nath, who delivered an address highlighting the significance of January 21 in the state’s history.

The event was graced by Dr. Nibedita Dhar, Secretary of the Teachers’ Council, as the special guest, while Dr. Ratnabali Ray Sengupta served as the keynote speaker. Dr. Dhar spoke on the relevance of commemorating the day, and Dr. Sengupta offered a comprehensive discussion on its pivotal role in shaping the state’s identity.

Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and volunteers joined the gathering, reflecting the spirit of unity and participation. The program concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, marking a dignified end to the celebration.

The event was coordinated by NSS Program Officer Rama Bhattacharjee, ensuring smooth conduct throughout the proceedings.
