Agartala, 14th March 2024:  Contractors and workers, accompanied by their families, staged a mass dharna on Thursday in front of the office premises of Sai Computer Limited, a private electricity service provider, demanding payment of long-overdue salaries.

According to one contractor, numerous contractors and workers have diligently served Sai Computer Limited for years, yet the company has failed to settle their outstanding dues, plunging them into financial distress. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter through dialogue with company representatives, the promised payments have not materialized.

In light of the prolonged negligence, the aggrieved workers felt compelled to take collective action, culminating in today’s demonstration outside the company’s office. They assert that immediate payment of the outstanding amounts is imperative to alleviate their financial hardships.

The sit-in protest underscores the escalating tensions between the workers and Sai Computer Limited, highlighting the urgency for a resolution to the ongoing payment dispute.
