Agartala, 4th June 2025: A workshop aimed at advancing agricultural prosperity under the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan was held this afternoon at the Maichhara Bharat Mata Community Hall in Belonia assembly constituency. With the message, “You are the breadwinner of agricultural prosperity – you are the food giver,” the event brought together agricultural scientists, officers and guests to discuss key farming issues.
The workshop commenced with the symbolic irrigation of seedlings highlighting the importance of agricultural development. FCI Chairman and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee graced the occasion, alongside figures such as Bharat Chandra Nagar Panchayat Samiti Chairman Putul Pal Biswas, Santirbazar Municipal Council Vice-Chairman Satya Saha, Mission Director Rajib Debbarma, Kalabaria Panchayat Pradhan and officials from the Agriculture department.
Discussions revolved around methods to maximize yield on limited land, seasonal crop choices and strategies to enhance agricultural productivity.
Addressing the gathering, MP Rajib Bhattacharjee emphasized that the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’, initiated under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership aims to resolve farmers’ challenges. He noted that as Modi’s eleven-year tenure nears completion in June, the accomplishments of this period will be reviewed. Bhattacharya further elaborated on various government initiatives designed to assist farmers and underprivileged communities.
The event concluded with the recognition of the best farmer as guests felicitated individuals for their dedication and contributions to agricultural growth.
