Agartala, 21st May 2025 : A workshop focused on women’s and girls’ empowerment through modern literacy under the Panisagar ICDS Project and Panisagar Block VIOC initiative was organized at the conference hall of the Panisagar Panchayat Samiti yesterday noon.
The event commenced with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by Anuradha Das, Chairperson of Panisagar Nagar Panchayat. Vice Chairperson of Panisagar Panchayat Samiti Kalpana Deb Nath presided over the workshop, while Dhananjay Deb Nath, Vice Chairperson of Panisagar Nagar Panchayat attended as the chief guest.
Several dignitaries and officials participated, including Panisagar Samsathi Development Officer Manash Bhattacharjee, Dr. Shatarupa Das from Panisagar Sub-Divisional Hospital, DHEW Suriya Parbin and Panisagar CDPO In-Charge Gobinda Lal Das along with other members of the locality.
Discussions revolved around the rights and challenges faced by young women and mothers, emphasizing the crucial role of education and societal support. Speakers highlighted the growing achievements of women across various fields—from scaling Mount Everest to joining the Indian Army—and underscored the importance of modern education in breaking barriers and ensuring gender equality.
