Agartala, September 10, 2022: National Mental Health Program (ENAMHP, Tripura), National Health Mission, Tripura and Indian Psychiatric Society (Tripura State Branch) organized ‘World Suicide Prevention Day’ here in the city on Saturday.
Various programs have been taken by the National Health Mission Tripura under the State Health Department to increase awareness of suicide prevention in the state. As part of this, a large-scale walk was organized on Saturday.
The walk was auspiciously inaugurated by Mission Director of National Health Mission Subhashis Das, along with members of Indian Medical Association, Indian Psychiatric Society, Tripura State Branch, All Tripura Govt. Doctors Association including Chamdani teaching Nursing, various staff, volunteers and Assam Rifles Jawans also participated in this rally. Program Officer Dr Unnayan Majumder along with other expert doctors were present.
National Health Mission Tripura has informed in a press release that for the successful implementation of this program, various awareness messages have been carried out on the streets of Agartala city by participating in the foot-march with placards.
