Yaba tablets worth over Rs 4 lakh seized

Agartala, 1st June 2026:  In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking, police from Sidhai Police Station carried out a successful overnight anti-narcotics operation, seizing Yaba tablets valued at over Rs 4 lakh.

Police sources informed that the raid was conducted across multiple locations under Mohanpur subdivision as part of an intensified crackdown on illegal drug networks. The raid specifically targeted an absconding drug trafficker believed to be actively involved in the distribution of narcotics in the area.

During the coordinated search operation, officers recovered a substantial quantity of Yaba tablets, a prohibited synthetic drug known for its harmful effects and growing circulation in the region. However, the main accused managed to evade arrest and remains at large.

Police officials confirmed that search operations are ongoing, and efforts have been intensified to apprehend the accused at the earliest. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to zero tolerance against drug-related activities and assured that strict action will be taken against those involved.
