Yuva Bikash Kendra concludes successful 3-day mushroom cultivation training programme at Narayanpur Reserve

Agartala, 27th June 2024 :   Yuva Bikash Kendra (YVK) in collaboration with Finolex Industries Limited’s CSR Partner Mukul Madhav Foundation and FICCI Ladies Organisation North East Chapter successfully concluded a three-day Mushroom Cultivation Training Programme held at Narayanpur reserve, Nalbardi District from June 24-26.

The closing ceremony was graced by Shahajahana Begum, Vice-Principal of Barkhetri College, Mukalmua as the Chief Guest. Debashis Majumder, President of Yuva Vikash Kendra, Litan Das from YVK and Namita Haloi Baishya, the Master Trainer of the program were also present on the occasion.

Smriti Rekha Chetia, Project Coordinator, and Manish Debnath, Coordinator of Yuva Vikash Kendra played a key role in managing the program throughout the three days.

Debashis Majumder, President of YVK was said “We are thrilled with the outcome of this training program. By equipping participants with these valuable skills, we empower them to explore new income opportunities and contribute to the region’s economic development.”

Shahajahana Begum, Vice-Principal was said “This initiative by YUVA VIKASH KENDRA is commendable. Equipping individuals with practical skills like mushroom cultivation fosters self-reliance and opens doors to new possibilities.”

The training program offered a comprehensive learning experience for participants, combining both theoretical and practical sessions. Namita Haloi Baishya, the master trainer, equipped participants with the necessary knowledge and skills for successful mushroom cultivation.

The closing ceremony saw the distribution of certificates to all the participants who successfully completed the program.

This initiative by Yuva Bikash Kendra supported by Finolex Industries Limited’s CSR Partner Mukul Madhav Foundation and FICCI Ladies Organisation North East Chapter, empowers local communities by equipping them with valuable skills for income generation and sustainable livelihood development.
