Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Thursday accused the BJP of bringing “terror and hate” to Bengal.
Addressing public meeting, Banerjee, who resumed his two-month-long Jono Sanjog Yatra (Mass Outreach Programme) as part of Trinamoole Nabo Jowar on Monday from Bankura from where he had to cut short his Cooch Behar to Kakdwip yatra following CBI summon to appear before the Investigation Officials on Saturday in regard to the alleged teachers’recruitment scam in State Government-aide schools, said, ” Even before coming to power @BJP4Bengal leaders are threatening to rip people’s clothes off, their convoys are running people over. “
” What would have happened if they were in power? ” the MP from Diamond Harbour questioned.
” BJP has brought terror & hate to Bengal, but we will not tolerate this, ” he stated.
Issuing a warning to Panchayat members, Banerjee said, ” Winning Panchayat polls isn’t a licence to relax for 5 yrs, it’s the licence to serve. “
” I’ll conduct a review within 3-4 months of polls & suspend anyone who is not dedicated enough, ” he added.
” Trinamoole Nabo Jowar is the promise of accountable, selfless service, ” Banerjee further said.
