A gunbattle is underway between militants and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district, officials said.
They said security forces established a contact with militants during a cordon and a search operation at Chuntpatri area of the district in North Kashmir.
” The operation is underway, ” officials said.
They said additional forces have been deployed in the area to ensure a tight cordon.
On late Friday evening, militants and forces had exchanged fire in the Panar area in Bandipora.
