Security forces have arrested a terrorist associate during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Handwara town of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Police said on Tuesday.
They said the CASO was held by the joint teams of Jammu and Kashmir Police, 22RR (Rashtriya Rifles), and 92 Bn CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) at village Bongam Chogul during which one terrorist associate identified as Ashiq Hussain Wani was arrested.
One pistol along with one magazine and 7 live rounds were recovered from his possession, Police said.
