Maha to hold 27th National Youth Festival

Date:

People showered petals and the air reverberated with incessant shouts of Jai Shri Ram as Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a huge roadshow amid surging crowds in this Maharashtra city on Friday.

The entire city seemed to have poured out on the route traversed by the Prime Minister’s nearly 40-car convoy which meandered its way till the Janardhan Swami Math Chowk.

On one side was Narendra Modi’s fleet of cars and on the other side thousands of citizens were present, who welcomed the Prime Minister with peshwa patak, lazim, dhol and tasha.

Thousands of youth participated in the road show, and took part in an art presentation holding aloft the tri-colour.

Modi is on a trip to Nashik and would visit the historic Kalaram temple. As per the official schedule, he will spend about 23 minutes in the temple and will perform the Maha aarti of Lord Ram after worshipping the deity.

Modi will enter the temple through the East Mahadwara and first take darshan of Hanuman.

After that, Pradhan Sankalp will be resolved, Bhavartha Ramayana will be recited and Ram Raksha will be recited, said Mahant Sudhirdas Pujari. UNI RDS SY SSP
