Patrakar Nagar police station in Patna catches fire

An accidental fire engulfed Patrakar police station on Wednesday in Patna damaging its properties but no casualty was reported from the spot.

Official sources said here that an accidental fire engulfed Patrakar Nagar police station in Patna causing damage to documents, vehicles, and other properties. Fire tenders were used to douse the fire even as fire extinguishing personnel had a tough time in taming the fire, sources added.

Family members of cops also reside in the multi-story police station. They were rescued by the fire extinguishing personnel. No casualty was reported but some vehicles and documents were damaged in the incident.

“The exact cause behind breaking out of the fire was being investigated”, police said adding that preliminary investigation suggested for short circuit to be the reason behind the incident.
