Agartala, 28th April 2026: A remarkable display of India’s cultural diversity was witnessed in Dublin as nine-year-old Srimanya Komaragiri from Telangana showcased the traditional Hojagiri dance of Tripura on international platforms.
On February 20, 2026, during the State Cultural Event Series organized by the Embassy of India in Dublin, Srimanya performed the intricate Hojagiri dance in the presence of the Indian Ambassador to Ireland. Her graceful presentation highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Tripura and earned warm appreciation from the audience.
Continuing her cultural journey, Srimanya once again captivated spectators during the Shivjayanti & Ireland Maharashtra Mahotsav (IMM 2026), held on March 29, 2026, in Dublin. The event, organized by Maharashtra Mandal Ireland, featured a vibrant lineup of cultural performances including dance, music, drama, and a community heritage showcase.
Srimanya’s performances stood out for bringing attention to the unique folk traditions of Northeast India, especially Tripura’s renowned Hojagiri dance, which is known for its delicate balancing acts and rhythmic movements.
