Agartala, January 30, 2023: A T-20 night cricket match was played between ILS Hospitals and NEEPCO at NEEPCO’s ground on the evening of Saturday last. The match started with National Anthem. NEEPCO won the toss and elected to bat first.
From the beginning, ILS hospitals started creating pressure on the batting line-up of NEEPCO. Especially the ILS Captain Manoj strikes 2 times in his first two overs. The ILS team restricted NEEPCO at 105 runs in 19.2 overs. From Team ILS Manoj Kumar Debnath took 4 wickets. Amarjit Sarkar and Joydeb Deb took 2 wickets each.
From NEEPCO, Dhananjoy Deb scored highest 25 runs. ILS hospitals easily chased down the target in 18.2 overs. Team ILS defeated Team NEEPCO by 5 wickets. Manoj Kumar Debnath scored highest 42 runs. Manoj Kumar Debnath was Awarded Best Batsman, Best Bowler and Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
In the presentation ceremony, NEEPCO team congratulates Team ILS for the win. According to them, it was a ‘One Man Show’ as the Captain of Team ILS Manoj single handedly won the match for his team.
In the presentation, ILS Hospitals captain Manoj Kumar Debnath thanks the NEEPCO authority for organizing a Night Match which is very rare in Agartala. He also told every year ILS and NEEPCO would play such friendly matches to keep the healthy relationship between this two corporates.
Dr S S Choudhury, Subranil Sengupta, Dr Gaurav Srivastav, Dr Naresh Babu and Manoj Kumar Debnath were present in the presentation ceremony.
