Bangladesh, UAE to deepen ties

Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to deepen their bilateral cooperation and friendship.

The decision was taken at their 2nd Foreign Office Consultations meeting at Cox’s Bazar on Thursday.

Foreign Secretary (Senior Secretary) Masud Bin Momen led the Bangladesh delegation. The UAE team was led by Dr. Abdul Nasser Jamal Al Shaali, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, UAE.

The two delegations reviewed the entire gamut of bilateral, regional and multilateral cooperation. The issues that were discussed included commerce and trade, investment from the UAE in the exclusive economic zones, human resource development, people to people contacts and collaboration on food security.

The two countries decided to further consolidate the existing bond of friendship and to take them to new heights.
