Agartala, 29th July 2025: As part of the Union Education Ministry’s ‘Prime Minister’s Tribal Justice Campaign’, the foundation stone for a pivotal educational initiative was laid today at J.B. School in Navajoy Riang Para, located within Nunachhara ADC Village under Mungiakami RD Block. Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma formally inaugurated the event, which was attended by key officials and community leaders.
The project includes the construction of two hostel buildings each with a 50-seat capacity for boys and girls respectively aimed at improving educational access for students from remote and hilly regions. Tribal Council Executive Member Kamal Kalai, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Parimal Majumdar and several other dignitaries marked their presence at the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Debbarma emphasized the transformative power of education, stating, “No nation or community can progress without education. The current government is committed to bringing the people of hilly and remote areas into the mainstream through educational empowerment.”
He further noted that both central and state governments have launched multiple initiatives to uplift backward communities through education. “This hostel project will be a cornerstone in shaping the academic journey of tribal children in Tripura and will mark a significant step forward for the hill community’s development,” he added.
