BSF jawans recovered 13 cows from Indo-Bangla border

Agartala, July 20, 2022: Border security force (BSF) personnel on Wednesday morning recovered 13 cows from the international border of the India-Bangladesh barbed-wire fence at Yakubnagar area under Dharmangar sub-division.

It is reported that the personnel of BSF seized 13 cows, those halted in front of the international border at Yakubnagar area in Dharmanagar, which were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh from India.

It is known that when the jawans of 149th battalion of BSF were doing their routine duty early on Wednesday, they suddenly noticed some cows near the Indo-Bangla border barbed-wire fence. When the jawans chased them, the smugglers escaped.

BSF jawans managed to seize 13 cows from the spot.  They came to the BSF camp with the cows. Later the BSF soldiers handed over the cows to Dharmanagar police. Locals are said to be somewhat confident in the success of BSF.
