Agartala, 22nd August 2025: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu today visited West Sabroom engaging directly with residents and progressive farmers to assess the ground-level impact of various government welfare schemes. The Governor participated in a public interaction held at the East Kathalchhari SB School ground, under the West Sabroom Gram Panchayat, where he reviewed the implementation of key development initiatives.
During the session, Governor Nallu sought feedback from locals on the delivery of essential services under schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, drinking water supply, healthcare access, and sanitation infrastructure. Women from self-help groups shared their experiences, noting that several government benefits had already reached them, and highlighted areas where improvements were still needed.
“The administration’s foremost responsibility is to ensure that every government benefit reaches the people within the stipulated time,” the Governor stated, assuring that any reported issues would be promptly addressed by the concerned departments.
The event was attended by South Tripura Zilla Parishad President Deepak Dutta, District Superintendent of Police Maria Krishna, Additional District Magistrate, and other senior officials, who presented detailed updates on ongoing development activities in the region.
Later in the day, Governor Nallu visited Tuikumba in the Sabroom subdivision, where he held further discussions with residents to understand their perspectives on government schemes and local challenges. His visit sparked a festive atmosphere in the area, with large crowds gathering at the school ground to witness the interaction.
Locals expressed optimism that the Governor’s on-the-ground assessment would lead to more efficient delivery of public services and enhanced development opportunities in the future.
