Local sources informed that Ghosh was seated by the roadside near his home when a speeding vehicle approaching from behind lost control and struck him with force. The impact hurled him onto the road, causing severe head injuries. Witnesses said the road was soaked in blood following the collision.

Fire department personnel were alerted immediately by nearby residents and rushed to the scene. Ghosh was rescued in critical condition and transported to the district hospital, where attending doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The incident has cast a pall of grief over the community. Locals allege that reckless driving is common on this stretch of road, citing a lack of administrative oversight. Police have reportedly identified the vehicle involved and assured that strict action will be taken against the driver.
