Agartala, 11th December 2025: With just a day left for the grand finale of the Tripura Unity Promo Fest 2025, the Tripura government has intensified security measures across Agartala as preparations reach their final stage. The closing ceremony, scheduled for Friday at Swami Vivekananda Maidan, will feature renowned Bollywood singer Jubin Nautiyal and Tripura Tourism brand ambassador Sourav Ganguly.
Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, after reviewing the on-ground arrangements today, said that extensive security protocols have been put in place to ensure a smooth and incident-free event.“We don’t want any disturbance,” the minister stated while sharing details of the preventive measures.
According to Chowdhury, multiple CCTV cameras have been installed across the venue, while volunteers and police personnel in civil dress will be deployed to maintain crowd discipline. Additional police forces will also be positioned at key locations throughout the city.
“Today, we inspected the venue along with senior police and tourism officials. Taking lessons from last year’s experiences, our focus is to ensure that the Chief Minister, Council of Ministers, dignitaries, and thousands of attendees face no inconvenience. We aim to prevent any law-and-order issues,” he said. The minister added that this year’s Unity Promo Fest has drawn remarkable public enthusiasm. The demand for passes has surged, hinting at record-breaking participation on the final day.“We believe Tripura is ready to create a new milestone in tourism promotion,” he remarked.
Chowdhury further emphasized that the final phase of preparations is underway under the strict monitoring of the police and district administration. “Our intention is to work in complete coordination with the police. We want zero confrontation and full cooperation,” he said.
Later in the day, the minister chaired a high-level meeting at the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Limited office at the Palace Compound (Shwetmahal) to finalize all arrangements. The meeting was attended by the Tourism Secretary, Director, and officials from various wings of the department.
