Three Rohingya Nationals Detained at Dharmanagar ISBT

Agartala, 17th December 2025:Three Rohingya nationals were detained at the Dharmanagar Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) after local drivers alerted the police on suspicion. The detainees include two men and one woman.

According to sources, the trio had hired a vehicle from Dharmanagar ISBT with plans to travel to Badarpur in Assam. Their behavior raised suspicion among the drivers, who promptly informed the police administration.

Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot and detained the three individuals. Authorities are currently verifying whether they possess any valid documents. A detailed investigation into the incident is underway.

The detained persons have been identified as Abdul Rahim, Yasmin Begum, and Rumi Ali. Police officials stated that the purpose of their travel and the circumstances under which they crossed the border will be revealed after a thorough investigation.
