The initiative was held under the leadership of Sh. Ravish Kumar, Commandant, 124 CRPF, and witnessed the participation of senior officials including Sh. Henzang, DIG, Range Agartala; Sh. Mourya Krishna C, IPS, SP, South Tripura; Sh. Bapi Debbarma, SDPO, Shantibazar; Smt. The camp drew a large turnout of villagers from the surrounding areas, who received free medical consultations from Dr. K. Venkata Avinash, CMO, 124 CRPF, and Dr. Rubi Halder, PHC Baikhora. In addition to OPD services, medicines were distributed to all attendees.
During his interaction with civilians, Sh. Ravish Kumar, Commandant, emphasized that while the battalion’s primary responsibility remains operational, it also prioritizes welfare initiatives to support local communities. To ensure accessibility, the unit arranged transport for villagers, recognizing that public conveyance is often inconvenient for senior citizens. Refreshments including drinking water, tea, snacks, and chocolates for children were also provided.
The camp proved highly successful, benefitting over 150 civilians with free medical examinations and medicines. Beyond healthcare, the program fostered meaningful engagement between Force personnel and local residents in a non-operational setting, strengthening bonds of trust and cooperation.
