Agartala, 15th January 2026:  A mother of two staged a dramatic protest outside Boxnagar police station on Thursday afternoon, demanding fair investigation and justice for her husband.

Police recently arrested her husband, Sohag Mia, accusing him of being a “line man” in a cattle smuggling racket. However, the woman insists her husband is innocent. She alleged that while the real masterminds remain free, her husband has been falsely implicated.

Breaking down in tears, she sat on the road with her two children, claiming that the family’s sole breadwinner has been unjustly taken away. “Our family is in deep crisis. I want impartial investigation and fair justice,” she pleaded.

Local residents have also raised questions, asking when authorities will take strict action against the actual culprits behind the smuggling network.

As of now, police officials have not issued any formal statement regarding the incident.
